My thoughts on diversifying into commercial loans

The fundamentals of marketing are largely the same 

whether we’re doing residential or commercial deals

It means we can generate opportunity in four main ways

1️⃣ Run paid advertising

2️⃣ Produce a large volume of valuable content

3️⃣ Create more opportunity from our existing clients by delivering a five star experience

4️⃣ Jag referral partners who work within the same ideal niche as us

The most important question when moving into commercial lending is this…

Are we adding more value to our existing ideal clients

Or are we diluting our focus by introducing a completely new ideal client?

For example

If we mainly work with first home buyers and they have little to no need for commercial lending

Moving into commercial could dilute our focus

On the other hand

If we work primarily with business owners who already have strong demand for commercial lending

Whether that’s property, business, or asset finance

Then expanding into commercial lending can make a lot of sense
