AI is going to change how we work as mortgage brokers.

It’s going to make some things faster. Some things easier.

But it won’t destroy what we do.

Reason one is simple. 

We have the structural advantage over banks. 

We can choose from multiple policies and multiple products across a range of lenders. 

We can match the deal to the client’s exact situation and goals. 

That’s the heart of what we do. AI won’t change that.

Reason two is marketing.

Delivering a loan is one thing. Getting the client’s attention is something else. AI can help with delivery, but it doesn’t automatically bring in leads. The brokers who are good at marketing will keep winning more market share.

So I’m not worried about banks outpacing brokers. I’m more focused on making sure we’re the ones winning the attention.

AI is coming. Things will change. We’ve got to be ready for it.
